Still on the Hill is a national and international touring group from Arkansas that has been described as “Ambassadors of the Ozarks” for the work they do to preserve a rich culture that is quickly disappearing.
Kelly & Donna are award winning ‘story telling-song writers’. Different than most singer-songwriters, this dynamic duo embellishes their songs with a host of unique instruments from the hills they call home. 19 Chloe Matharu is a talented singer songwriter and Celtic Harpist in Inverclyde and will do a Facebook livestream for us. Many of her songs draw on her experience as a Navigational Officer in the Merchant Navy sailing around the world on oil tankers. Her thoughtful and sensitive songwriting offers an insight into the modern seafarer's life. Chloe's voice, coupled with her harp playing, form a haunting combination perfectly suited to the reflective nature of her material. 6 Jack Badcock Singer and guitarist, Glasgow-based Jack is a hugely experienced performer, having toured extensively around the world, in Europe, North America, Asia and Australia, predominantly as founding member world-folk band 'Dallahan'. 3 Paul Walker & Karen Pfeiffer The Anglo-German duo Paul Walker & Karen Pfeiffer hails from Staffordshire, although Karen is originally from Stuttgart, Germany, where Paul ‘discovered’ her busking in a city centre park and the two of them have now been playing music together since 2012. 1 George Murphy. George is a singer from Dungiven Co Derry and his songs feature a witty style and a well observed commentary on life in Ireland and beyond. He collects songs from Ulster and all over Ireland and especially favours those who tell stories of the “craic” of rural Irish life.Songs and music with an Irish flavour.
